Clustering Session at SPE2025

By admin  Published On October 28, 2025

On Day 2 of the Sustainable Printed Electronics Conference 2025 in Thessaloniki, hosted at Aristotle University, an engaging Clustering Session (S4) took place. Led by AXIA Innovation, the session brought together five sister EU projects: Sustain-a-Print, REFORM, HyPELignum, CircEL Paper, and SUINK. The discussion focused on shared challenges and opportunities for advancing sustainable printed electronics technologies.

Session Highlights

• Dr. Zachary J. Davis (DTI) presented Sustain-a-Print’s progress on circular materials for printed electronics.

• Dr. Max Torrellas (AIMPLAS) shared insights on REFORM’s strategies for recycling and material recovery.

• Kealie Vogel (EMPA) introduced HyPELignum’s work on developing electronics from renewable resources.

• Gerhard Domann (Fraunhofer ISC) addressed the current challenges in creating paper-based printed circuit boards for CircEL Paper.

• Leire Sanchez-Duenas (TEKNIKER) presented SUINK’s sustainable conductive polylactic acid inks.

We extend our thanks to all project partners and participants for their valuable contributions to this collaborative session.
