Objectives
The strategy to achieve SaP’s main goal was divided into specific objectives related to the project’s 4 focus areas. All of them use SSbD methodologies.
To reuse and recycle valuable PE materials, contributing to a circular economy in the EU, through the:
- Separation of materials at End-of-Life (EoL)
- Refinement of materials for resynthesis
- Validation of the efficacy of biodegradable EoL for bio-degradable PE
- Minimization of resource consumption and waste generation during EoL for PE
To provide sustainable materials and formulations for PE, utilizing either bio-based or recycled electronic waste sources, including the:
- Development of re-synthesis methods for valuable NMs and PE formulations
- Development of biobased NMs for PE formulations
- Development of biobased substrates for PE production
- Scale-up of the production of sustainable materials

To develop sustainable digital printing and assembly of PE to address Industrial End Users (IEU) specifications based on sustainable materials and formulations through the:
- Demonstration of fully digital production of PE components based on IEU specifications
- PE production with reduced curing time
- Demonstration of attachment/detachment of discrete components
